TRYING TO CATCH HIS BREATH

going up a single flight of stairs to fighting in his first amateur promotion, Tom Harrison, our founder, learned a life-changing lesson from his experience in martial arts; that people can accomplish anything as long as they have passion, continually push their limits, and are relentless in their efforts.

PUNCHUP'S BEGINS

with a big knee to the ribs. One day while training for what was to be his first fight, Tom suffered a hairline fracture to his ribcage during a sparring class. Forced to withdraw from the fight and unable to train for the next two months, he began thinking of ways he could give back to the world that had given so much to him.

HE WANTED TO SHARE

HIS PASSION FOR MARTIAL ARTS,

as well as championing his belief of how much people can achieve by just being relentless, to as many people as possible. He also saw that the market for striking gear was filled with extremes. Cheap gear enticing to a beginner, but often low quality that at best won't last long and at worst is unsafe. Quality gear tailored for professional fighters, with an expensive price tag. Or overhyped brands that rack up overhyped adds-ons.

AND SO,

GRIMACING THROUGH THE PAIN

from his injury, Tom began drawing designs for our first pair of boxing gloves, and PunchUP was born.

As a brand created by martial artists for martial artists, we strongly believe in “punching up”.
